As global environmental policies become increasingly stringent, low-carbon and zero-emission practices have become an inevitable trend in industrial manufacturing. In many regions, traditional coal-fired boilers are facing the prospect of being phased out or forcibly dismantled because their flue gas emissions fail to meet regulatory standards.
For industrial enterprises that rely heavily on steam—such as those in food processing, textile printing and dyeing, chemical manufacturing, and packaging—the “coal-to-electricity” transition (upgrading coal-fired boilers to electric steam boilers) is the most direct and cleanest solution for achieving a green transformation. Although electric boilers do not emit exhaust gases and are subject to relatively lenient environmental approval requirements, pressurized steam boilers are still classified as special equipment.
When purchasing electric steam boilers, enterprises must select manufacturers with valid manufacturing qualifications (such as China’s Class A Boiler Manufacturing License or international CE certification). Retrofit projects must also undergo installation notification and supervisory inspection by local special equipment supervision and inspection authorities; production may only commence after passing these inspections.
