What Factors Cause A Gas Steam Boiler To Fail To Ignite Successfully?

1. Igniter Issues

If the pulse igniter or controller malfunctions, one of the gas steam boilers will fail to start.

2. Battery Issues

If the battery is problematic, first check if it is old, as insufficient voltage can prevent the gas steam boiler from igniting.

3. Water Pressure Issues

If water flow through the inlet filter of the gas boiler is obstructed, promptly clean it to restore normal operation.

4. Solenoid Valve Problems

If ignition sounds occur but the characteristic “clicking” magnetic sound from the solenoid valve is absent, the valve may be damaged or worn. A deteriorated solenoid valve can malfunction. During ignition, it may fire upon suction but subsequently close and extinguish. Before assessing solenoid valve integrity, ensure the ignition control circuit functions correctly, as malfunctioning circuits cannot activate the solenoid valve.

5. Ignition Probe or Sensor Probe Issues

Adjust the gas steam boiler ignition coil offset or properly position the ignition probe. If sensor aging is the cause, simply polish the sensor.

6. Inadequate Pipeline Venting

Blockages in gas steam boiler pipelines, excessively long venting tubes, or improper installation can prevent ignition.

7. Water-Gas Interlock Installation Issues

If the diaphragm of the gas steam boiler's water-gas interlock valve is aged or damaged, preventing the microswitch from actuating, the microswitch is faulty and must be replaced promptly.

All the above factors may cause the gas steam boiler to fail ignition. When encountering related issues, promptly troubleshoot and repair to ensure normal boiler operation.
